The Clearstep T-Spring appliance is removable and can be used in either the upper or lower jaw. The small springs of wire sit behind the front teeth, so that no part of the appliance is visible from the front of the mouth. The springs are activated by the Clearstep pract it ioner, and are designed to gently push the front teeth forward. This helps to create space in which to align crooked and crowded teeth, and also help to achieve the ideal angulation of the front teeth. The T-Spring appliance can also be used with a single wire spring to correct the position of a tooth that is sitting inside the rest of the teeth. The T-springs are activated by the practitioner, and the appliance worn for six to eight weeks. On the return visit, the practitioner will assess the progress and activate the springs again if required. The appliance is then worn for an additional six to eight weeks. It is recommended to wear the T-Spring appliance as much as possible, only removing it to eat, drink and clean.
